SOPHIE KARLIN SCHAUERTE
Choreographer, dancer, actress and founder of POOLHOUSE.
Sophie Karlin Schauerte is an actress, dancer and choreographer from Berlin, Germany. In 2022 she successfully completed her professional dance education at the Die Etage - Schule der darstellenden Künste e. V. in Berlin, Germany.
In the past years she had the opportunity to work with international artists such as the choreographer Tomer Zirkilevich, the sound artist William "Bilwa" Costa and the photographer Simone Ghera.
Sophie Karlin Schauerte worked closely together with students from the HfS - Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 she worked on the graduation project of the choreography student Melika Akbari-Asl, which had been performed at their university. In the same year she was performing, dancing and speaking in the project "otherMess" by the Brazilian choreographer Kysy Fischer, which they had created for the Potsdamer Tanztage.
For the Danish film maker Martin de Thurah, Sophie Karlin Schauerte was starring in the short film My Sister Lola. Also she was performing in the art film Stories, which was created for an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and was shown/exhibited there.
In 2023, Sophie Karlin Schauerte founded the POOLHOUSE - Art Company and is currently working on creating, choreographing, performing, event planning, bringing artists together and organizing event in atypical art spaces.
